Richard Wesley Winters, 63, 419 Linda Circle, Elizabethton, died Monday, August 01, 2005 at the Johnson City Medical Center. Mr. Winters was a native of Eldon, Missouri,a former resident of Campbellsburg, Indiana and had lived in Elizabethton since 1999. He was a son of the late Richard C. and Helen Winters. Mr. Winters was an employee of Exide Batteries. He was a US Army Vietnam War veteran. Mr. Winters was a member of Happy Valley Church of Jesus Christ. Survivors include his wife, Janice (Ruth) Winters; one son, Richard Todd Winters, Louisville, KY; one daughter, Rhonda Winters; one step-son, William Robert Randall II, Louisville, KY; one step-daughter, Sandy Randall, Elizabethton; three brothers, George Winters, Frank Winters and Mike Winters; one sister, Gloria June Winters; four grandchildren, Amy Ruth Ash, William Johnson, Jason Johnson, William Randall III, Louisville, KY and several nieces and nephews. A funeral service for Mr. Winters will be conducted at 10AM Wednesday, August 3, 2005 at Happy Valley Church of Jesus Christ. Reverend Donny Reagan will officiate. A military graveside will follow at Mountain Home National Cemetery, Mountain Home, TN, conducted by the Kingsport VFW Post 3382. Pallbearers will be Mark Powell, Jerry Glenn, Orville Reece, Paul Phillips, Ronald Ash, Phil Kraus, Eric Kraus and Tracey Brizendine. The family will receive friends from 9-10 AM Wednesday at the church.
