Robert Scott Gilham "Scott" 52, passed away peacefully on February 14th, 2026, surrounded by friends and family.
Scott was born in Tampa, Florida, on March 17th, 1973, to Bob and Susan Gilham, who cherished him deeply. He was a proud partner, alongside his brothers and father, in the family business, Custom Asphalt Services. Outside of work, Scott had a deep passion for cooking. He loved trying new recipes, perfecting his favorites, and bringing people together around the table. For him, food was more than a meal - it was a way to show love. He also had a remarkable gift for making friends wherever he went. His outgoing spirit, welcoming smile, and genuine interest in others meant that no one stayed a stranger for long.
Scott was a devoted husband to his wife of 24 years, Erin Gilham, and a proud father to his three daughters: Hannah (22), Delaney (21), and Cora (13). His family was the center of his life, and he took great joy in supporting, guiding, and encouraging his girls in all they pursued. He was their greatest supporter, protector, and role model.
Those who knew Scott will remember him for his warmth, generosity, friendliness, and sense of humor. He had a way of making others around him feel valued and loved, and his presence brought comfort and strength to those around him.
Whether it was spending time with family, helping a friend, or sharing a laugh, Scott lived with sincerity and compassion.
Scott is survived by his loving wife, Erin; his daughters, Hannah, Delaney, and Cora; his parents, Bob and Susan Gilham; his brothers, Mark and Chris Gilham, and his sister-in-law, Sarah Gilham; his nephews, Austin and Nathan Gilham; and many extended family members and friends who will forever treasure his memory.
Thank you to the nurses and doctors at Johnson City Medical Center for the incredible care and support they provided.
A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, March 15th from 2-4pm at the Heritage. (161 Molly Grayce Lane Jonesborough, TN)
