Ronald Dee Matheney

Ronald Dee Matheney, 53, 305 W 8th Ave., died Thursday, March 2, 2006 at the Johnson City Medical Center. Mr. Matheney was a native of Dayton, Ohio and had lived for the past few years in Johnson City. He was a son of the late Raymond and Allie B. Bohannon Matheney and was preceded in death by one brother, Donnie Matheney. Mr. Matheney was a US Navy veteran and a lifetime member of the D.A.V. He is survived by two daughters, Leslie Bailey, Dayton, Ohio and Rhonda Knox, Dayton, Ohio; two sisters, Sarah French and her husband, Ronnie, Ohio, Mary Norris and her husband, Edward, Wartburg, TN; one brother, Larry Matheney and his wife, Marianne, Monterey, TN; six grandchildren, Gene, Ashley, Steven, Jordan, Christopher and Brooklyn and several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. A military honors memorial service for Mr. Matheney will be held at 2 PM Wednesday, March 14, 2006 at Mountain Home National Cemetery. Family and friends are asked to assemble at the cemetery.
