Ruby L. Almany Shipley

Mrs. Ruby L. Almany Shipley, age 93, of Johnson City, passed away Wednesday, October 23, 2013, in the NHC Healthcare Center. Mrs. Shipley a lifelong resident of Johnson City. She was the daughter of the late Roy and Myrtle Smith Almany. In addition to her parents, her loving husband, Hurbert Shipley also preceded her in death. Mrs. Shipley was a homemaker and had attended Harrison Christian Church. Survivors include two sisters, Ruth Woodruff and Marie Clark; two sisters-in law, Pauline Townsend and Alma Shipley; several nieces and nephews. The funeral service for Mrs. Ruby L. Almany Shipley will be conducted at 2 PM, Saturday, October 26, 2013, in the Morris-Baker South Chapel. Rev. Bob Edmonds will officiate. The graveside committal service will follow in the Monte Vista Memorial Park. Active pallbearers will be selected from family and friends. The family will receive friends from 1:30 to 2:00 PM Saturday prior to the service.
