Sam O. Mosier, 76, 107 Austin Springs Road died Tuesday, May 17, 2005 at his home. He was a native of Piney Flats and had lived most of his life in Johnson City. Mr. Mosier was a son of the late Worley and Maggie Hyatt Mosier and was also preceded in death by two sons, Bobby Lee and Richard J. Mosier and two brothers, J. W. Mosier and Arthur Mosier. He was retired from Smith Wholesale after 38 years employment. Mr. Mosier is survived by his wife, Mary Edith Hurd Mosier; three sons, Freddie Mosier and his wife, Barbara, Johnson City, David Mosier and his wife, Carolyn, Johnson City and Sammy Mosier and his wife, Sharon, Johnson City; one daughter, Debra Kay Mosier Hammett and her husband, Bobby, Jacksonville, FL; one sister, Bessie Rosenbaum, Anderson, GA; four brothers, Jerry Mosier, Anderson, GA, Cleveland Mosier, Casper, WY, Edgar Mosier, VA and Haskel Mosier, Johnson City; five granddaughters, Samantha Peters, Jonesborough, Lori Usary, Johnson City, Connie Hammett, Angel Hammett and Carrie Hammett all of Jacksonville, FL; eleven great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. A graveside funeral service for Sam O. Mosier will be held at 2:30 PM Thursday at Monte Vista Memorial Park. Reverend Jay Palmer will officiate. Family and friends are asked to assemble at the cemetery. Pallbearers will be Bo Usary, Sammy Usary, Greg Reed, Dean Mosier, Billy Dean and David Peters
