Samuel David Shell

Samuel David Shell, 72, of Gray, passed away Tuesday, February 2, 2016, in the Johnson City Medical Center. Mr. Shell was born in Johnson City. He was the son of the late S.B. and Ina Shell. Mr. Shell worked at Eastman Chemical Company for thirty plus years. Survivors include: his wife of forty-eight years, Phyllis F. Shell; son, Bo Shell and his wife Noel; daughter, Jenny Barker and her husband Joe; five grandchildren, Madeleine Shell, Hayden Shell, Lilly Shell, Hunter Barker, and Gunner Barker; brother, Bill Shell and his wife Joyce; sister, Jane Pullara and her husband George; two nieces, Cathy Pullara and Renee Keith; two nephews, Jeff and Randy Shell. A graveside committal service for Samuel David Shell will be conducted at 11 AM Saturday, February 6, 2016, in the Washington County Memory Gardens. Rev. Craig Ponder and Mr. Joe Barker will officiate. Active pallbearers will be: Bo Shell, Kyle Shell, Joe Barker, Hunter Barker, Gunner Barker, and Tim Daniels. There will be no formal visitation for Mr. Shell, but the family requests that anyone wanting to can visit at the funeral home. Ministers, family and friends are requested to meet at the cemetery by 10:50 AM on Saturday. In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorial contributions be made to your local church or the charity of your choice.
