Sarah Jane Ward

Sarah Jane Ward, 87, of Jonesborough passed away Monday, May 5, 2014 at the NHC Heathcare in Johnson City, Tennessee. She was a native of Carter County and the daughter of the late Malley and Lillie Arnett Bennett. She was of Baptist faith and a member of the Faith Freewill Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, husband Glen Ward, two sons Donald and Douglas Whitehead, five brothers Claude, Barney, Grant, Darius and Clinton, preceded her in death. Survivors include: brother, Martin Bennett of Hampton, Tennessee; sister, Myrtle Rhudy of Jonesborough, Tennessee; grandsons, Daniel, David and Eric Whitehead; granddaughter, Angie Douglas; special grand niece, Elizabeth Powers; several great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, family and many friends.
