Saundra Frances Cole

Saundra Cole, 74, of Johnson City, died Monday, August 9, 2016 at her home. She was a lifelong resident of Johnson City, the daughter of the late Queenie Mitchell Chandler and Harold Peeks and the granddaughter of the late John and Irene Mitchell. Mrs. Cole was a former member of the Keystone Free Will Baptist Church. She retired from Memorial Hospital, Inc. and Asbury Center. She was also preceded in death by one aunt, Ruby Sanders; two uncles, Joseph and Ralph Mitchell; and step-mother, Georgia Peeks. Survivors include her husband John; daughter, Janna Lee Cole of Johnson City; daughter and son-in-law, Jonda Ann and Brian Hill of Lenoir, NC; granddaughter, Annalee Grace Hill; grandson, Wyatt Colton Hill; uncle, Hobert Mitchell of Piney Flats; special friends, Dixie Grindstaff, Angela Driver, Willie Dean McMahan, Velma Holmes, and Leota Letterman; numerous cousins and special cousin, Patsy (Wayne) Bailey. At Mrs. Cole?s request, a private graveside service was held at Washington County Memory Gardens.
