Thurman Webb

Thurman Webb, 89, of 531 Old Gray Station Road, Gray, died Friday, May 25, 2007 at the Johnson City Medical Center. He was a native of Mitchell County, North Carolina, son of the late Pinkney and Emma Jane Hughes Webb. Thurman was a veteran of WWII having served in the U. S. Army Air Corps. He was a retired truck driver. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a brother, Lester Webb. Survivors include: his wife, Lorena Webb of the home; a daughter, Elizabeth Ann 'Betty'? Davidson of Hickory, NC; a granddaughter, Lisa Hencherick and two great grandchildren, Anna Elizabeth and William 'Will'? Ryan Hencherick all of Concord, NC; a sister, Estelle McKinney of Johnson City; several nieces and nephews.Mr. Webb is to be cremated and a graveside service will be conducted at the Mt. Home National Cemetery at 11:00a.m. Thursday, May 31, 2007 under the direction of the VFW Chaplain. Military honors will be provided by the VFW #3382 of Kingsport and the Tennessee National Guard.
