Tonya Honeycutt

Tonya Lynn Honeycutt (Dalrymple), 45, passed away on February 22, 2026. Born March 21, 1980, in Johnson City, Tonya was raised there and carried her Appalachian roots with her wherever life took her. She most recently resided in Camden, South Carolina.

Tonya was the beloved daughter of Larry Honeycutt and the late Loura Jean Honeycutt. She was preceded in death by her mother, Loura Jean Honeycutt; her brother, Jonah Eugene Honeycutt; and her fiancé, James Tyus.

She leaves behind her son, Zachary Tobias Miller; her father, Larry Honeycutt; her sister, Joelene Honeycutt Rice; her nephew, Trey Rice; and many other family members and friends who loved her deeply.

Tonya spent much of her professional life working in construction management, a career that reflected her determination, resilience, and strong work ethic. She was fiercely independent, deeply loving, and endlessly optimistic. Above all, Tonya was a survivor—someone who faced life’s hardships with strength and faith. She loved God, loved to travel, and most of all loved pouring her heart into the people closest to her.

Those who knew Tonya will remember her for her warmth, her strength, and the way she loved others wholeheartedly.

A memorial service will be held Sunday, March 1st, at Morris-Baker Funeral Home in Johnson City. Visitation will begin at 1:00 p.m., followed by the memorial service at 2:00 p.m.
