Vernice Rae Burkett

Vernice Rae Burkett, age 61, died Friday, August 22, 2008 at the Johnson City Medical Center. Mrs. Burkett was a daughter of the late Stanley and Helen Moored Roper. She was a native of Marion, Michigan and has lived in this area for a number of years. Survivors include her husband, Robert Burkett, two sons, Jack Cocklin, Elizabethton and Mickey Gardner, Idaho; one daughter, Roxanne Ferrell, Michigan; seven grandchildren and one great grandchild. It was Mrs. Burketts wishes to be cremated and no services are scheduled.
