In loving memory of Wendy "Michelle" Bawgus, who was born on June 12, 1969, in Palatka, FL, and who sadly passed away on May 9, 2024, in Johnson City, TN. Wendy was a strong and determined woman, who was given a second chance at life with a new set of lungs on June 8, 2020.

She loved life, and every adventure along the way, especially the beach, roses, cooking, canning, and preparing meals for all those she loved. Wendy found joy in cutting grass and cherished her "me time." She was a dedicated homemaker and took great pride in her family. Family was the most important thing to her, always reminding them to take pictures. She had a positive outlook on every situation, good or bad.

Wendy was preceded in death her father, Charles Burkhalter, and sister, Cynthia Boyett.
Wendy will be deeply missed by her beloved husband William Bawgus, her mother Elizabeth (Dan) Pacetti, her sons Cameron Cook and Andrew (Lauren) Bawgus, her daughters Hope (Tate) Bawgus, Danielle (Zac) Sherer, and Grace Bawgus, her sisters Glenda Gore and Candy (Steve) Adams, as well as her grandchildren Theodore David Lane, Aurora Belle and, Bruce Emery Bawgus, Emma Lynn, Zachary David, Zoey Denise, and Ellie Bane Sherer, as well as several nieces and nephews, and a host of friends who loved and adored her.

The funeral service to celebrate Wendy's life will be held at Morris-Baker Funeral Home, Oak Hall on May 18, 2024, at 7:00 pm, with Mr. Danny Fair officiating. Prior to the service, there will be a visitation at the same location beginning at 5:00 pm. In Florida a celebration of her life will be held at a later date for all her family and friends.
