William Meckes, born on June 11, 1945, in Pittsburgh, PA, peacefully passed away on March 24, 2026, in Johnson City, TN. A devoted husband to Beverly Meckes and proud father to Jessica Lee and William James; He is survived by brothers Stephen Meckes, and Victor Meckes Jr. He will be remembered for his warm heart and adventurous spirit.

William was preceded in death by parents Victor & Olga Meckes; sister Lorraine; brother Joseph.

 Bill, as he was fondly known, was more than just a computer administrator at Timken Corp for 33 years; he was a true lover of life. He had a passion for photography and was an active member of the Johnson City Photography club, where his eye for beauty and detail won him several photo contests. He meet his Romeo group every wed for breakfast at Bojangles. Flea markets were another of his great loves, where he enjoyed hunting for hidden treasures to share with family and friends.

 Bill proudly served in the U.S. Air Force, a chapter of his life that shaped his character and instilled in him a sense of pride in serving his country. He took great joy in sharing stories of his time in the service.

 A graveside service will be announced at a later date for Mt. Home National Cemetery.

Details will be posted once services are scheduled.

 He will be missed dearly by all who knew him. Rest in peace, Bill. Your legacy of love and adventure will carry on through your family and friends.
