Willis K. Johnson, 77, 379 Bill West Road, Limestone, died Wednesday, June 26, 2007 at Indian Path Hospital. Mr. Johnson was a St. Charles, VA native and had lived in Washington County, TN for the past several years. He was a son of the late Cecil and Maxie Kegley Johnson and was also preceded in death by his wife, Joyce Bawgus Johnson. Mr. Johnson was a former employee of the Washington County/Johnson City EMS. He was a US Army Korean War veteran. Mr. Johnson was a member of Boones Creek Baptist Church. Survivors include his son, Alen Johnson and his wife, Teresa, Johnson City; daughter, Debbie Ford and her husband, Bud, Limestone, son, Richard Johnson and his wife, Janet, Conway, SC; daughter, Pamela Hipps and her husband, Pete, Afton, TN; sisters, Lois Martin and Phyllis Taylor both of Essex, MD; grandchildren, Scott Dickerson, Hampton, Melissa Whetsell, Jonesborough, Diana Nelson, Lenoir, NC Chris Vance, Virginia Beach, VA, James Allen Surber, Virginia Beach, VA and Sheena Johnson, Bristol, TN; great grandchild, Dakota Dickerson, Johnson City; one niece and two nephews. A funeral service for Mr. Johnson will be conducted at 8 PM Thursday, June 28, 2007 from the Morris-Baker Funeral Home South Chapel. Reverend Kenneth Kyker will officiate. Military graveside services will be held at 2 PM Friday at Mountain Home National Cemetery. Family and friends are asked to assemble at the funeral home at 1:30 PM and travel in procession to the cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM Thursday at the funeral home and at other times at the home of his son, Alen Johnson, 1767 Todd Drive, Johnson City, TN.
