Seminar Helps Community Members Prevent Suicide
We were thrilled with the high participation and great turnout at Morris-Baker’s recently held seminar, From Risk to Resilience, that focused on suicide prevention. Members of the community who attended ranged in profession from ministers, chaplains, and emergency personnel to school counselors, social workers, educators, students, and psychologists.
The first half of the seminar was spent learning about suicide prevention and how to best care for family members who have lost a loved one to suicide. The afternoon portion was about helping professionals and caregivers learn techniques to care for themselves so they are better prepared to serve others.
We thank Michelle Post, who traveled from across the country to present this outstanding seminar.
